The Future of Chay Chay Tech Time

Where We Go from Here

It has been almost three years since the publishing of Chay Chay Tech Time’s last article, Brave Browser: Retain Your Privacy. Behind the scenes, things have drastically changed since then and it is time for those changes to be brought to light. On December 31, 2025, Chay Chay Tech Time will be sunsetted and enter a permanent archival state for the foreseeable future. This article describes the process which will take place and provides a brief history and overview of how Chay Chay Tech Time has reached to the point it is at today.

Who Am I?

To those who do not know, my name is Chaney Goldstein. I’m a jazz musician, but I’m also an avid technology enthusiast who always loves to learn about something new in the industry of consumer tech. This site started as a way to share my ideas and beliefs with the world back in 2018, and while it was an interesting concept, for my age, I was certainly doing more than what I was capable of. With that being said, setting up my own blog and website was an experience I never quite had before at this scale. The entire process was something I was not familiar with, yet I learned so much from it and gained skills which I knew I could apply in the future.

Chay Chay Tech Time was never meant to be a flagship technology news source, and frankly it never did. I’m not disappointed with that, though. Being able to self-publish my ideas was rewarding in itself and I couldn’t be more proud of what I was capable of accomplishing. However, due to my age and schedule, I did not have the time to consistently maintain Chay Chay Tech Time and needed to focus on my education. Of course, that will always be considered the right move as Chay Chay Tech Time was a hobby, but it was disappointing when I had numerous fun concepts I wanted to share online to likeminded people.

The idea behind Chay Chay Tech Time was to be a video technology reviewer, posting primarily to YouTube. It wouldn’t deviate from the typical tech review that much, I would analyze a product, test it out, and report back with the things I liked about it, what I didn’t like, and what I would change in a potential future revision. The only factor I thought would set me apart from the rest is I wouldn’t stop at the basic specs most consumers would care about. I would challenge myself to take a deeper dive into the product, its ecosystem, and how well everything built around it works. Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, this idea was quickly scrapped and eventually transformed into a written article-style of content and technology review platform.

The Chay Chay Tech Time website launched on Blogger in August 2018 with the article Best Budget Speakers Setup for Under $200. While the currently listed date shows otherwise, that is due to a website relaunch performed in February 2019 upon the release of ASUS C202SA: A Good Budget Chromebook For Students? with guest author Michael Inger. Since then, we have over 40 published articles on our platform written about various technologies, from laptops to smart home, from operating systems to sound editing software. However, we haven’t posted in almost three years. Is there any hope that we will again?

What’s Happening?

On December 31, 2025, the Chay Chay Tech Time website will shut down and be transitioned to a permanent archival state with no new content written or published under the moniker. That does not mean Chay Chay Tech Time will cease to exist as my passion for technology will never take a hit, but it’s important to look towards the future and focus on the projects that will reap the most rewards. Unfortunately for me, Chay Chay Tech Time is no longer a priority and needs to be sunsetted.

Starting July 2, 2025, a banner will display on the top of the Chay Chay Tech Time site notifying users of the shut down. Content will still be easily accessible until December 31, 2025, after which the Chay Chay Tech Time website will change to a single page alerting users of the archival, and directing them towards the new home, which will be associated with ChaneyGoldstein.com. This is being done to consolidate resources and ensure a smooth maintenance experience for less important and inactive projects.

This decision did not come easy whatsoever, but when I take a look at my online presence, I need to focus on maintaining an up-to-date profile and representation of who I am, and I did not have the capacity to continue writing new content for Chay Chay Tech Time. I knew a change was going to be necessary at some point, which is why I am acting now and not after it’s too late.

What’s Next?

The written blog portion of Chay Chay Tech Time will be gone by March 2026, but my love for technology will live on through the limited podcast series, Chaney’s Tech Talk. I cannot guarantee a regular schedule for this show, but I will say that it is not dead and will have a new episode published whenever something intriguing comes across. The podcast series was always managed by me, but will now be marketed as an addition to ChaneyGoldstein.com rather than Chay Chay Tech Time. Existing episodes will have their metadata modified slightly to reflect this change, but the audio episodes themselves will remain untouched for the foreseeable future.

All articles on this site will be preserved through ChaneyGoldstein.com. While specifics have not been determined, they will be available upon shutdown of this website. This permanent archival will be available for a minimum of one year (at least until December 31, 2026), but could be permanently deactivated if it is determined to be unnecessary. This conclusion will be transparently communicated to the audience and will have a similar grace period to this first shutdown.

I want to sincerely thank each and every visitor for reading a Chay Chay Tech Time article, watching a CCTT video or even listening to the podcast. Every bit of support does not go unnoticed and I am grateful for everyone’s time and energy for this project. This may be close to the end for this chapter, but it will never be the end of my passion for technology. Thank you for being here so far, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!
